Inter-House Sports Showdown: Football and Badminton
Our school recently hosted a thrilling Inter-House Football match for Grade 9 and 10 boys and a Badminton tournament for Grade 9 and 10 girls, fostering healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship among our students.
Football Frenzy
The Inter-House Football match saw enthusiastic participation from Grade 9 and 10 boys across four houses. The intense matches showcased impressive ball control, passing, and shooting techniques, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. Hawk House emerged victorious, defeating Eagle House in the final match with a remarkable score.
Badminton Brilliance
The Inter-House Badminton tournament for Grade 9 and 10 girls was a captivating display of agility, speed, and precision. The final match between Kite House and Hawk House was closely contested, with Grade 10’s C.Akshara from Kite House standing out with her exceptional skills to win the singles title. Nishika Rathi was the runner-up.

Inter- House Yoga Competition
An exciting Inter- House Yoga Competition was conducted for students of Grades 5-8. The event aimed to provide a platform for our students to explore the ancient art of yoga, fostering a deeper connection between body, mind, and spirit, promoting physical and mental well-being, discipline, and self-confidence among our young learners.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students across various grades, who showcased their mastery over different yoga asanas. Each participant not only demonstrated the poses from the syllabus but also explained the benefits associated with them, highlighting their understanding of yoga’s significance in daily life.
The event was judged based on criteria such as posture accuracy, balance, flexibility, and the students’ ability to articulate the benefits of the asanas. The participants’ confidence, poise, and enthusiasm were truly commendable.




Investiture Ceremony 2025-26
The Investiture Ceremony conducted on 7th August, 2025 (Thursday) at the Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School was a much awaited event as budding leaders marched forward with their badges assuming duties for the academic session 2025-26.
Among the dignitaries were The Director of HIE Mr. Javeed Hood , Ms. Fariha Peerzada, the Chief Administrative Officer, Colonel Abdul Majeed and the Dean of the HIE Junior College, Mr. Hidayatullah. Parents of the newly constituted student council added vibrancy to the programme with their presence.
The emphasis of imbibing leadership skills was highlighted through various cultural presentations by students. Primary students stole the show as they anchored for the cultural presentations. Mesmerizing dances, soothing melodies and inspiring skit made the audience sit tight throughout the event.
The Head Boy Abhinav Reddy along with Head Girl Akshara pledged to fulfill their responsibilities with utmost sincerity and diligence. The Oath of Office was administered by the Principal, Ms. T. Veena Murthy.











































Quit India Movement
The Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad proudly remembered the Quit India Movement, a turning point in India’s struggle for freedom declared by Mahatma Gandhi on August 8, 1942.
HIE honoured the relentless spirit and sacrifices of countless Indians who stood firm against colonial oppression and demanded their right to freedom.
Students presented a powerful Hindi skit that brought to life the courage, hope and determination that fueled the movement. The  skit encouraged students to reflect on the value of freedom and to carry forward the torch of patriotism with pride and responsibility.
A thought-provoking video presentation was first showcased, encouraging students to critically reflect on the impact of nuclear warfare and the significance of peace in our world today. This was followed by a moving skit performed by students, portraying the emotional and human toll of the bombings on innocent lives.
The observance aimed not only to remember the past but also to inspire young minds to uphold values of empathy, peace and humanity.






Hiroshima Day
The Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad observed Hiroshima Day to honour the memory of the lives lost in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945. This day serves as a powerful reminder of the devastating consequences of war and the urgent need for global peace and disarmament.
A thought-provoking video presentation was first showcased, encouraging students to critically reflect on the impact of nuclear warfare and the significance of peace in our world today. Kargil Vijay Diwas
The Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad joined the nation in saluting the valour and determination of our brave Armed Forces on Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrated every year on 26th July. This day is celebrated to mark India’s victory in the Kargil war. This day is also observed to pay solemn tribute to all those soldiers who were martyred to safeguard the country not just in the Kargil war but in wars fought for the motherland.
The special assembly on Kargil Vijay Diwas was put up by the students of Grade XA. They portrayed the life of soldiers on borders and highlighted the meaning of real freedom.
The special assembly was made vibrant with the presence of (Rtd) Colonel AM Majeed, Chief Administrative Officer of HIE and (Rtd) Naib Subedar
(OPR) S.Ismail, Material Manager of HIE who served the Armed Forces and were a part of the Kargil war.
Colonel Majeed narrated the challenges faced by the soldiers during the war, their strategic planning and the never give up attitude despite such rough conditions. He enlightened students about the career opportunities in the Indian Army and the need for girls to be part of the Armed Forces.

Van Mahotsav
Each tree counts – save one today
The students of HIE happily celebrated the festival of trees with an opportunity to connect with nature and also learn about the significance of planting trees. Van Mahotsav emphasis that it is the duty of every citizen of the nation to take a pledge to be part of this green movement. Students dressed in green, entertained with a colourful dance performance to honour mother nature.
Let us all work together to plant more saplings and create an awareness to make the environment greener.

Independence Day Vibes! With a day of pure patriotism and celebration, HIE came alive with vibrant, colourful performances and paid tributes to India’s incredible journey to freedom.
The programme kicked off with a dazzling welcome dance by our little stars, followed by speech, Hindi and English recitation and inter-house dance and music competitions which was a true celebration of India’s unity in diversity. Our
Principal Mrs. Veena Murthy, shared her wisdom saying that students should take a pledge to be responsible citizens and contribute to the nation’s growth. Students as soldiers performed the Kargil Dance followed by fun Puppet Dance.
The program wrapped up with a warm vote of thanks, and thus completed the spirit of freedom. Jai Hind!

Investiture Ceremony 2024
To create leaders of future Hyderabad Institute of Excellence conducted its much awaited investiture ceremony, vesting upon different responsibilities to students with exceptional qualities. In the auspicious presence of the HIE Director, Mr. Hyder Ali Sir, who graced this event as a Chief Guest, honoured Vivek Goud as the Headboy and Unnati sai as the Headgirl of the school. He also vested the responsibilities to the heads of Sports, Discipline, Cultural Activities, and the four Houses of the school – Kite, Falcon, Eagle and Hawk.
Other dignitaries whose presence lit up the ceremony was Mr.Kamlakar, the Academic Head of HIE Junior College, and Mrs. Veena Murthy, the Principal of HIE.
To add colours to the event was the cultural dance performance by students on national unity. Also the choir mesmerised the audience with their song, ‘Itni Shakti Hame Dena Data’.
Every year students are designated to head various responsibilities in schools. By investiture ceremony students are formally given the responsibility to head various departments in a school. The management, staff, and students of HIE convey their best wishes to the newly elected Prefectural Body for the academic session 2024 – 25.
