Students representing the different Houses participated with great enthusiasm and displayed their knowledge across various areas of Science, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, and General Science. The quiz consisted of multiple rounds that tested the participants’ subject knowledge, logical reasoning, observation skills, memory, and ability to think quickly under pressure.

The participants demonstrated excellent preparation, confidence, and team spirit. The healthy competition among the houses created an energetic and engaging atmosphere, while also encouraging students to appreciate Science as a subject of exploration, innovation, and discovery.

The event was conducted with the aim of developing students’ mathematical aptitude, logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and ability to apply mathematical concepts in challenging situations.

Inter-House Spell Bee Competition at Hyderabad Institute of Excellence

Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad, conducted an exciting Inter-House Spellathon Competition for the students of Grades III & IV and Grades V & VI on 31st July, 2026 (Friday). The competition was organized with the objective of enhancing students’ vocabulary, spelling accuracy, pronunciation, listening skills, and confidence in using the English language.

Students from the different Houses participated with great enthusiasm and displayed remarkable knowledge of words and their correct spellings. The competition comprised engaging rounds that tested the participants’ vocabulary, concentration, quick thinking, and ability to spell challenging words accurately.

The event created a healthy spirit of competition among the Houses while encouraging students to learn new words and develop a keen interest in the English language. The participants demonstrated excellent preparation, confidence, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

International Tigers day

The students of Grade VI of Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad, conducted a special assembly on the occasion of International Tigers Day with great enthusiasm and awareness. The assembly was organized to highlight the importance of tiger conservation and to educate students about the need to protect wildlife and maintain ecological balance.

The programme commenced with the morning prayer, followed by the thought for the day and the school pledge. The students presented informative speeches on the significance of International Tigers Day, which is observed every year on 29th July to raise awareness about the declining tiger population and the global efforts undertaken to conserve this magnificent species.

A few students shared interesting facts about tigers, including their role as apex predators and their importance in maintaining healthy ecosystems. A short skit and a poem emphasizing the message “Save Tigers, Save Nature” were also presented, captivating the audience and inspiring them to become responsible citizens who care for the environment.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

Kargil Vijay Diwas
is observed every year across the country on July 26th to pay tribute to the bravery and courage of the Indian soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country during the Kargil War in 1999. India is indubitably the land of brave warriors. Indians are known for their patriotism and in the year 1999, the world witnessed it when we won the Kargil War against Pakistan.
To show gratitude and to remember the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for our country’s honor, students of Class 7 conducted a Special Assembly on ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas ’ on Saturday, 25 July 2026.
The assembly started by seeking the blessings of the almighty followed by the school song. The students shared the News, word of the day and Thought for the day to set  the tone of the assembly. The main highlights were the speech and  the war performance. Each performance acknowledged the efforts and gallantry of our Armed Forces The assembly concluded by the closure speech by our Respected Principal, and  paying homage to the martyrs of this war and saluting them for an everlasting debt to our families.

As part of our Nature Conservation Day Special Assembly, the students of Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School presented an engaging courtroom skit, “The People vs. Uncontrolled Development.”

Through a thought-provoking courtroom drama, the skit explored the delicate balance between development and conservation, highlighting the consequences of irresponsible development on forests, water, biodiversity, and future generations. Investiture Ceremony at Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad

Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad, proudly celebrated its Investiture Ceremony on 22nd July, 2026 (Wednesday) with great enthusiasm, dignity, and a strong sense of purpose. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council for the academic year, reaffirming the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership, responsibility, integrity, and service among its students.

The distinguished members of the management, the Principal, teachers, parents, and students graced the occasion, making it a memorable celebration of young leadership.

The highlight of the ceremony was the conferring of badges and sashes upon the newly elected student leaders, including the Head Boy, , House Captains, Vice Captains, Prefects, Sports Captains, and other office bearers. Each badge symbolized the trust and confidence reposed in these young leaders to uphold the values and ethos of the institution. The newly elected council members proudly took the oath of office, pledging to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, discipline, and commitment while striving to be exemplary role models for their peers. Such ceremonies are designed to formally entrust student leaders with responsibility and encourage leadership through service.

Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad, successfully conducted its School Prefectorial Elections on 9th July 2026 for students of Grades V to X through an innovative

e-voting system. The elections were organized with the aim of nurturing leadership qualities, democratic values, and responsible citizenship among students.

Adding a unique dimension to the electoral process, the school implemented a noiseless and paperless campaign. Contesting candidates promoted their ideas and manifestos in a disciplined and eco-friendly manner through digital presentations and interactive sessions, eliminating the use of paper posters, banners, and loud campaigning. Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School, Vikarabad, organized a fun-filled and educational Pani Puri Stall Activity for Grades PP2-III as part of its experiential learning programme on 8th July, 2026 (Wednesday). The activity was designed to provide students with hands-on experience in understanding the concepts of money management, communication skills, and real-life shopping experiences.

The school premises transformed into a vibrant mini food stall where students enthusiastically participated as customers. Equipped with dummy currency notes, the children purchased delicious pani puris and learned the importance of handling money responsibly. They practiced counting, identifying denominations, and making simple transactions, thereby strengthening their mathematical and financial literacy skills.

The activity also encouraged students to interact confidently, wait patiently for their turn, and make independent decisions while purchasing their favourite snack. Through this engaging experience, students developed social skills, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility in a joyful and practical environment.

As part of our commitment to promoting experiential learning, the students of Grades IV & V of the Hyderabad Institute of Excellence, Vikarabad embarked on an exciting educational field trip to a shopping mall on 07th July 2026, where learning extended far beyond the classroom walls. The visit was thoughtfully designed to help students understand the practical aspects of shopping, money management, consumer awareness, and effective communication in real-life situations.

During the visit, students explored various stores, observed product displays, compared prices, identified different categories of goods, and interacted confidently with store personnel. They learned how to make informed purchasing decisions by evaluating quality, quantity, and cost while understanding the importance of budgeting and responsible spending.

A key highlight of the trip was the hands-on shopping activity, where students used dummy currency notes to purchase selected items. Meet the Candidate Session for the School Prefectorial Election 2026 was held on 4th July 2026 at Hyderabad Institute of Excellence. The session provided students with an opportunity to interact with the candidates contesting for various positions in the School Prefectorial Council.

“To plant a tree is to believe in tomorrow”                                                                                                                                                                                                          Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School celebrated the annual festival of trees, Van Mahotsav, with immense enthusiasm and dedication to promote the vital role trees play in maintaining ecological balance. The special morning assembly, centered around the theme “Our Roots, Our Future,” commenced with a solemn prayer and an insightful thought for the day highlighting environmental conservation. The atmosphere was filled with vibrant green vibes as students presented an array of talent, including inspiring talks, a powerful skit dedicated to Mother Earth, and powerful slogans emphasizing the urgent need to protect nature. A major highlight of the event was a performance by the Grade V students, who reminded everyone of nature’s greatest gift through a deeply moving speech and a creative skit that realistically depicted how trees provide air, shade, and life, while leaving the audience strictly thinking about what happens if we continue to cut them down. By beautifully illustrating the importance of sustainability, this meaningful celebration successfully encouraged the entire school community to adopt eco-friendly practices, take responsibility for future generations, and actively contribute to a greener, healthier, and more sustainable world.

Inter Class Competitions

3rd July, 2026 HIE High school organized the Inter class competitions like Poster Making and Essay Writing for Grades V & VI. The event aimed to nurture creative expression, critical thinking and civic awareness among the students with the theme “GREEN TODAY, SAFE TOMORROW”.  This segment provided a platform for students to translate their ideas into visual arts. Participants used, oil pastels, sketches and water colours to create impactful visual images.  The theme challenged the students to depict the direct link between the present ecological actions and safety of the future generations. The artwork highlighted water conservation, stop pollution, save the earth, afforestation, save energy, green & clean environment. The entries were judged on originality, relevance to the theme, artistic talent. The students were appreciated for their vivid imagination and creative presentation of environmental responsibility.  

The Essay Writing competition gave a chance to our young writers to express their thoughts on paper. The literary capabilities and analytical skills of the students were tested. Participants articulated their thoughts showcasing a strong command over language, structured augmentation and depth of knowledge. The theme was “SMALL STEPS, BIG CHANGE: MY IDEAS FOR A GREENER INDIA” which served as a testament to our students’ deep understanding of environmental challenges in India, ranging from urban waste management to plastic pollution. Participants articulated brilliant grassroots ideas such as segregation of household waste, community-led composting, carpooling networks and switching to indigenous plants to save water. The prompt encouraged the participants to move away from abstract global solutions and focus on practical, localized actions that can drive a nationwide green movement. The evaluation was based on content quality, originality of ideas and coherence of thought. The competition provided a wonderful platform for students to discover their strength build confidence and develop collaboration skills.

Crossword Puzzle and Word Search Competition

 

As part of the Inter-Class Competitions, a Crossword Puzzle and Word Search Competition was held for grade 7 and 8 to encourage vocabulary development, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students. Centering on the theme of Van Mahotsav, the competition required participants to solve clues and find words deeply rooted in nature, environmental conservation, and forestry. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different classes, who showcased their language proficiency, concentration, and analytical abilities. Participants competed with great enthusiasm to solve challenging crossword clues and locate hidden words within the given time limit. The competition not only tested their knowledge and speed but also enhanced their observation skills and enriched their vocabulary. The event was conducted in a lively and competitive spirit, with students displaying determination, accuracy, and excellent time management. Teachers appreciated the participants for their sincere efforts and sportsmanlike attitude throughout the competition. The Crossword Puzzle and Word Search Competition was a resounding success, providing students with an enjoyable and intellectually stimulating learning experience. Students highlighted the significance of National Doctors’ Day through an informative speech, emphasizing the dedication, compassion, and selfless service of doctors in safeguarding the health and well-being of society.

To make the occasion more engaging, students presented a short skit depicting the commitment and sacrifices of doctors in caring for patients during challenging situations. Today marked the beginning of a wonderful new academic year at *Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School. Our school campus was beautifully decorated to warmly welcome all students back to school.

Students arrived with smiling faces and great enthusiasm after their holidays. Teachers and staff greeted them with a cheerful welcome, making them feel excited and comfortable on their first day.

A special breakfast session was organized for the students. They enjoyed the delicious meal together.

Various fun-filled games and ice-breaking activities were conducted to help students reconnect, build friendships, and start the year with positivity and confidence.

The day was filled with laughter, learning, excitement, and joyful memories. It was heartwarming to see our students return with renewed energy, ready to learn, grow, and achieve new goals.

Staff Orientation Session 2026-27

The 2026–27 academic session at Hyderabad Institute of Excellence commenced with unmatched enthusiasm and a renewed passion for achieving educational excellence. Staff members were greeted with warmth as they gathered to start the new year.

The Principal energised the faculty during an engaging orientation, sharing an inspiring vision and ambitious goals for the upcoming year. Emphasis was placed on continuous skill enhancement and professional growth of teachers to adapt to changing educational demands and elevate classroom experiences.

The session showcased a thrilling lineup of academic and co-curricular activities planned for the year. Faculty members received exciting briefings on key initiatives, academic schedules, and student development programs designed to deliver a truly holistic learning journey.

The orientation ended on an uplifting note, fuelling a collective enthusiasm to collaborate and make this academic year the most successful and dynamic yet.

National Science Day 2026: Empowering Women, Enriching India

Hyderabad Institute of Excellence High School celebrated National Science Day with great fervor, highlighting the theme “Women in Science: Catalysing Vikasit Bharat 2026”. The event showcased the crucial role women play in shaping India’s scientific future.

From Seed to Sweetness
Grade 1-4 students presented a vibrant concept dance, “From Seed to Sweetness”, illustrating the journey of a seed to a honey-filled hive. The performance highlighted how humans benefit from nature, emphasizing the importance of science in our daily lives.

Unsung Heroes of Indian Science
Grade 3 and 4 students delivered powerful declamations on unsung Indian scientists, shedding light on their groundbreaking contributions. The young speakers brought to life the stories of these overlooked pioneers, inspiring their peers to pursue science.

Empowering Women, Empowering India
A impactful street play by grade 3-5 students showcased women’s empowerment in India, highlighting their achievements in science and technology. The performance underscored the vital role women play in shaping the nation’s progress.

The event concluded with inspiring speeches and performances, reinforcing the importance of science in building a stronger, more inclusive India.

U13 TALK BATTLE

Students of Hyderabad Institute of Excellence participated in the U13 TALK BATTLE, a special workshop aimed at enhancing personality, confidence and communication skills conducted by U18 WORLD at Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana, Hyderabad on 1st February 2026.
The event provided a platform for students to express their ideas and showcase leadership qualities. A proud moment for HIE as Nakul Chaudhary (Grade VIII) was selected as a panelist for the Under 18 World Podcast, representing our school with excellence.
We congratulate all our participants for their enthusiasm and confidence, and we are excited to see them continue growing and achieving new milestones!
 
 

ALOHA - 2026

The campus was filled with mixed emotions for the farewell – ALOHA for the grade-10 students.

School juniors hosted the event with cultural programmes including songs and dances. Fun games and titles added joy and laughter to the event. The farewell ended with cheerful note and best wishes to students as they step into a bright and successful feature. 

HIE Boarding Hiking Trip

HIE School organised hiking activity on 11-02-2026 for Boarding students and staff who assembled early in the morning to gain stamina and improve well being. The team remained enthusiastic throughout the trip with a short break  for a while. This  built confidence and a sense of responsibility. They all returned with happy memories and better understanding of love for nature

Remembering Bapu … on his 78 th death anniversary …HIE ‘s tribute
A Special Assembly was staged by the students of Grade 5, Hyderabad Institute of Excellence, High School, on this 30 th day of January to honour the immortal presence of Gandhiji, when he succumbed to the gunshot of Nathuram Godsey, while returning from his evening prayer. Students captured the moment through a poignant enactment of this tragedy. They honoured all brave hearts like Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmi bai who had laid down their lives to free our Motherland … the price they had paid heavily, for us and our future generations… to be free. A minute- long silence was observed while the heart paid homage to the great souls to the tune of Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram…

Republic Day 2026

Long live the Indian Constitution!
On the  momentous day of 26th January,2026 Hyderabad Institute of Excellence, saluted a tribute  to the Democratic leadership of India  that stands tall in the world with the largest constitution as the nation steps into the 77th year of its enforcement.
The dignitaries unfurled the tricolour and the congregation stood at attention as the national anthem was sung in unison. The students from grades 6 and 9 stood shoulder to shoulder with the inter freshmen tuning the significant moments of this great occasion.
The Director’s message was conveyed to the gathering with the perfect modulation. The Dean of the Institution enkindled young hearts with the three fold power of emotional, physical and mental well- being for the service to the nation and the building of our Republic. The rendition of the patriotic song by the students of grades 4 and 5 echoed of the voices of the martyrs for whom  we are fortunate to live in a Sovereign , Secular , Socialist Republic empowered by our Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy. Students watched live telecast of the Day’s celebration at
the Nation’s Capital and cheered the grandiose moments of the spectacle .
