School Code & Policies

General

The School strongly feels that children must learn the value of discipline. Enrollment in The HIE implies, on the part of student and parent, willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school. Once parents entrust child in our care, we expect the parents and the child to follow the rules of the school.

  • The management has the right to suspend or require the withdrawal of any student without having to assign any reason provided that the management is satisfied that such a step is necessary for the interest of school.
  • In all matters pertaining to admission, studies, disciplines, behaviour and welfare of the student, the management’s decision is final and binding on all the students, parents and guardians.

Discipline:

  • Punctuality and regularity in attendance is essential. Students who have been absent the previous day must bring a note of explanation through ‘Record of Non-attendance’ page of the almanac without fail. In case of illness a Medical Certificate should also be sent. Students who expect to reach home late after the school due to personal reasons must inform their parents/guardians in advance.
  • Students must come to school in neatly laundered uniform and polished shoes. The hair should be trimmed and the nails must be cut regularly. Girls with long hair should make plaits.
  • Children must report to their respective classrooms promptly. Their manner of movement should be quiet and in an order, always keeping to the left and in the single line. They should make way for staff members and younger students.
